Fierce clashes between FSA fighters and regime forces; two regime tanks destroyed; brutal rocket and artillery shelling; siege continues causing acute shortage in all life necessities
*** Recent developments on the ground***
The western front was the scene of extremely violent clashes between FSA fighters and regime militias as the latter attempted to storm into the city through this front. FSA fighters destroyed 2 tanks and killed a number of troops. Extremely intense shelling using all types of heavy weapons targeted the western area while warplanes raided the southern area.
This morning, new military reinforcements headed towards the city from Al-Mazzeh airport including 4 tanks, 4 armoured vehicles, 3 BMP vehicles, 12 DShK vehicles, as well as a number of ambulances, pick-up trucks and troop-carriers.

*** Humanitarian situation***
The suffering of the displaced Darayans is increasing on a daily basis, especially those in neighbouring towns. More than 200,000 displaced people face unimaginable difficulties under siege, shelling and recurring massacres. People remaining inside Daraya are facing a far greater threat under siege and total absence of the basic necessities of life including electricity and water.
*** Medical Centre Report***
The medical team continues to provide all possible help to rescue and treat injured victims whether civilians or FSA fighters despite the extreme shortage in medical staff, equipment and material.
The field hospital received today a number of injured victims. The victims were rescued and given the necessary treatment and medication.
