Heavy artillery shelling; skirmishes and sniper operations; humanitarian suffering continues amid dire need for all life necessities
*** Recent developments on the ground***
Daraya’s western area was shelled by heavy artillery batteries located on the Fourth Division Mountains as well as tanks located along Jedaidat Sahnaya Road. 
Combat fronts witnessed small-arm skirmishes and mutual sniper operations.
Almaamil area in the neighbouring city of Muaddamiya was shelled by heavy artillery batteries located on the Fourth Division Mountains as well as tanks located on north-western front. 
Meanwhile, regime warplanes conducted overflights over Daraya and other cities in the western countryside of Damascus. No casualties have been reported.
***Humanitarian and living conditions***
The people of Daraya continue to suffer under the siege due to absolute lack of food, medical and fuel supplies with the approaching winter. Meanwhile, the city has been without power, communications or drinking water for 12 consecutive months.
More than 6,600 civilians are surviving on little rice and some local produce. There is a dire need for baby milk and dairy products. The city is still home to around 600 children including 50 young children born during the siege.
