FSA fighters engaged Assad’s forces in clashes using small to medium sized arms on the southern front. The clashes erupted as Assad’s forces attempted to infiltrate this front. The rest of the combat fronts witnessed relative calm interrupted by sniper operations by both sides.
***Humanitarian and living conditions***
The people of Daraya continue to suffer under the siege due to absolute lack of food, medical and fuel supplies with the approaching winter. Meanwhile, the city has been without power, communications or drinking water for 12 consecutive months.
More than 6,600 civilians are surviving on little rice and some local produce. There is a dire need for baby milk and dairy products. The city is still home to around 600 children including 50 young children born during the siege.
